Make it make sense

Many a time in life, we will do what we know God has instructed us to do.  Yet at some point in the mission, things just do not make any sense. Sometimes, we start to question if we even heard GOD. Like, "Was that YOU God? Because this is making no sense at all! If it's you God, make it make sense."
I'm reminded of someone else who probably felt this way.  There was a man in the Bible who experienced something just like this.  His name was Abraham.
God sent Abraham on a journey.  He promised Him some beautiful and great things. BUT, God sent Abraham on this adventure with very few instructions.  He told Abraham (Genesis 12:1-4) "“Get out of your country, from your family, and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
There are two things that stick out in this passage.  The first is that God gave little to no details about the place He was sending Abraham.  The second thing is, God made some heavy duty promises to Abraham.  Apparently, Abraham had a whole lot of faith.  Because we see in the next verse, that Abraham simply packed up and left.  The scripture doesn't speak of Abraham asking any questions.  He just went.
This is the posture God wants us to have.  Everything doesn't have to make sense to us.  It only needs to make sense to God.  God is not looking for our understanding, He is looking for our obedience.
God was so pleased with Abraham, that He called Abraham His friend (James 2:23). Because of his unwaivering faith, GOD called him "righteous" (Romans 4:3).  God not only did what He said, concerning Abraham, but He is STILL doing it.  You see, the promise wasn't just to Abraham, but also to his descendants.  WE are the descendants of Abraham! (Romans 4:1, 11-12, 17-18) Abraham seen his promise come to pass.  He possessed his possessions.  Now, it's up to us to possess ours; Through faith, through obedience, through perseverance, and through humility! And THAT makes a whole lot of sense.
